Some Fun Facts

Yeah, we know, it sounds unreal, at 1000x more than the most expensive footage in the world! Perhaps a few fun facts will help you see the magnitude of it....

For example, here is one view of the New York City Upper East Side price/foot, among the most expensive in the world (courtesy of New York Times).

And yes, at $2M a foot, you typical 1,000 squarefoot apartment (are you sitting in one right now?) would make you a twice-billionaire! Hmm, people would be really nice to you now, wouldn’t they :-)...

So what can you get for $2,000,000 in an one squarefoot space? How about a:

3-Inch Thick Gold Plate. At a reference $500 an ounce, you get 4,000 ounces. Melt that and pour into a one squarefoot area, and you get a 250-pound gold plate.

67-Foot High Dollar Stack. You can spread 10 one-dollar bills in a squarefoot area. That means a stack of 200,000 sheets, stacking 67 feet high.

44-Mile Long Oil Pipe. At a reference $50 a barrel, you get 40,000 barrels. Pour the oil into a one squarefoot pipe, and it will reach 44 miles into the sky.
